EU ETS by Country and Activity 2005 to 2025: tidy CSV and pivot workbook from the EEA Union Registry data (July 2026)

The European Environment Agency publishes the EU ETS Union Registry data as one long table. This product is that table, unchanged in its values, made usable in an afternoon rather than a week.

• Tidy CSV (84,056 rows): version, country code, main activity code and a plain-English activity label, entity scope, measure, year, size class, value, unit. Loads straight into pandas, Power BI or a pivot table.
• Pivot workbook: for each of the 19 measures (total allocated allowances, free allocation and its components, auctioned allowances, verified emissions incl. the gap-filled latest year, scope estimates, surrendered units by type), a country-by-year sheet for stationary installations and an activity-by-year sheet at EU level.
• Derived sheet: free allocation divided by verified emissions per country and year, so exposure to the phase-out of free allocation is visible at a glance.
• Read me and Sources: what was done, the activity code mapping (2005 to 2012 codes, Annex I activities from 2013, aircraft and maritime operators, aggregates), coverage, caveats from the EEA background note, and the attribution.
